Acadia National Park is made up of a cluster of islands encompasses 45,000 acres on the rugged coast of Maine. Acadia National Park is mostly surrounded by the ocean, but it also hosts a wide variety of freshwater, estuarine, forest, and intertidal habitats, and includes the highest point on the U.S. Atlantic coast, Cadillac Mountain, standing at 1,530 feet.
