Fishing Near San Francisco, California
San Francisco is well known for its seafood, and many have heard of fisherman's wharf, but what most don't realize is that a day of fishing is very easily arranged right at this tourist spot. There are certainly other ways to go fishing near San Francisco, but my personal favorite is to go out on the Pacific Ocean to fish for salmon.
Party Boats leave daily from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, as well as from other spots such as Sausalito around the San Francisco Bay. The great thing about these trips is that a single fisherman or a small group can join the charter for the day without having to arrange for a boat themselves.
Typically, full day and half day trips leave around 6am and return in the afternoon. The great thing is that as you leave in the morning, the fog lies thick on the Bay, but on the way back the sun is usually shining and you can get amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge from the water all the way back to the wharf.
Wacky Jacky Sport Fishing is one of the boats that we recommend, though there are others that offer similar trips.
