The Vasque Blur won Outside Magazine’s Trail Runner of the Year award in 2006. The design of the shoe has not changed and neither have the endorsements. I’ve found this to be a solid performing, comfortable and affordable all-round trail shoe. I use the term “trail shoe” because I wear it more for just trail running. It’s great for day hikes, overnight backpacking trips and for just kicking around.

Alpine Trekkers offer a cheaper way to outfit skis with downhill bindings for backcountry skiing. The Alpine Trekkers work very similar to traditional Alpine Touring or Randonee bindings, except they use the existing bindings. On the uphill touring you snap the trekker into the bindings, then strap your boot onto the trekker. For the descent, you remove the trekker from your boot and from the ski, then use the ski just like you would for downhill skiing.
