Horny Toad Unveils a New Organic Cotton T-shirt Collaboration

For those lucky enough to attend the Summer OR, these shirts are available for $10 at booth 30049 with the proceeds going to the Conservation Alliance.

Santa Barbara, CA (August 1, 2008) – Lifestyle apparel brand Horny Toad débuts the “Good for the Earth Good for the Soul” limited edition t-shirt collection for the 2009 spring season. “Good for the Earth Good for the Soul” is a specialty line of organic cotton tees that feature music lyrics and artwork from a few of the musicians and artists Horny Toad digs – kind of the toad’s own t-shirt love child.

The premiere line reflects ongoing collaborations between two independent singer-songwriter musicians: Chris Pierce and Brett Dennen. Each musician made the peace theme of 2009 their own. Chris Pearce incorporated lyrics and thoughts from his journal entries into his tees. Brett Dennen expanded on his artistic skills and used simple illustrations and lyrics from his songs to create a unique style.

What makes these tees so good? The “Good for the Earth Good for the Soul” tee’s will be available at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Tradeshow for only $10 with proceeds donated to the Conservation Alliance. After OR the shirts will retail between $32 and $36 and a percentage of all proceeds will be divvied up among causes that are important to Horny Toad and the collaborating musicians. This season, the Toad’s own Search for Adventure program, Chris Pierce’s choice of GLAD – Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc., and Brett Dennen’s choice of The Mosaic Project are beneficiaries.
