Patagonia Advocate Travel Shoe Review
A lot of people I know are gearing up for summer vacations. If you're going to be on the road, and are looking for an all round pair of shoes, take a look at the Patagonia Advocate foot wear collection. No only are these shoes (for both men and women) stylish, they are also very functional. They pack into small spaces and provide support and comfort for all your travel activities.

The Patagonia Advocate Collection was co-branded with 1% for the Planet, to help raise awareness for their non-profit organization. Patagonia was one of the founding members of "1%" and continues to donate 1% of revenues to the organization. Revenues from sales of these shoes go to "1%", and the branding of the shoe is helping get the word out about 1% for the Planet.

Stitch and Skimmer Top
Pictured here are the Men's Advocate Stitch and the Women's Advocate Skimmer. Each shoe features 100% synthetic leather uppers, and 20% recycled EVA footbeads and insoles. With over 8mm of cushion, (including the durable 20% recycled rubber sole) these lightweight shoes have plenty of comfort for day long activities. The shoes are very durable and can take a beating on the trail, but they are more casual, then performance. They are a great complementary shoe to a hiking boot, because you can easily stow them in a backpack and put them on when kicking back around camp.

Here's the Patagonia described "Armadillo Sole". It gives the shoe a ton of traction and allows for a more comfortable ride over rocky terrain and traction on wet surfaces.

Is the Advocate a water shoe? Why not right test it out? It worked fine and dried in the sun in about an hours time.

Even when wet the Advocate provides plenty of traction. Notice how the sole of the shoe is clean, even though I stepped through some mud while getting in the water.
