NuuMuu Gwyneth Dress Review

The Nuu-Muu Gwyneth Dress is great for time spent by the pool. It dries quickly and makes for a flattering swim cover-up. I took it on vacation to Florida and it doesn’t wrinkle, so it makes for a great travel dress too. In order to use it for exercise or anything more active than just lounging around, you really need to wear leggings or shorts underneath, it’s pretty short. There is no built in bra so a sports bra is also needed. The fabric is very stretchy so it moves with you and isn’t binding. The slits in the legs also provide more flexibility than you may expect from a dress.

During yoga the dress did ride up during inverted poses, so I’d recommend a tank underneath for more coverage. It adds a girly flare to workout clothes that often seem too focused on function and not focused enough on form. And you can wear it out of the gym without really looking like you just came from the gym. The Nuu-Muu dresses are made in the USA, and during March and April they donated five dollars from the sale of each dress to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each dress sold, so you can feel good about supporting their company.

PROS: It’s a really cute dress that is pretty versatile.

CONS: You need to layer underneath if you’re using it to exercise in.

BOTTOMLINE: Worth adding to your work out ensemble and definitely worth having at the pool or beach.
