Kamik Hillcrest Womens Boot Review
The Hillcrest boot is a good looking boot that performs well in all weather. It is temperature rated to – 40 which is good when you live at 8,000 feet and work in the town formerly named, Ice Box of the Nation: Fraser, Colorado. The boots looks a bit like a snowboard boot but you can wear to work, walk the trails with the dogs, and have support needed to walk up to the old Moffat Road Railroad Trestle when being a tourist in Winter Park, Colorado... And I love Kamik’s product Tagline: Singular, Strong, Simply Dependable. Much like me.

Kamik Hillcrest On the Trail

After years of wearing pull on boots with no support and scuffing the heal as I shovel or walk to my car, the hook-and-loop strap is quick and easy. The boot offers excellent support while walking up rocky hillsides and snowshoeing. The polypropylene layer wicks perspiration and keeps my feet dry. My feet feel warm and comfy during all these activities.
Hillcrest -- Snowshoeing

This boot functions very well as an all-terrain boot. The warm inner lining makes this boot perfect for the first snowstorm throughout the winter season. The boot easily slips into snowshoes and gave waterproof protection during the warmth of the day as the snow began to melt. It doesn’t feel clunky walking on dry surfaces.

I love this boot. It is great for every winter activity. I wouldn’t wear it on a long winter hike on the Continental Divide, however, around town in the snow and ice, shoveling snow, and long walks on trails with dogs – it’s perfect.

Kamik Hillcrest -- Function and Style -- Ready for the Town

BOTTOMLINE: This is a great boot for driving to the mountains for a weekend ski trip or just outdoor shoveling during a snowstorm. I particularly like the boot for long walks with my dog on trails or on pavement. Great all around winter boot.
