Jetboil Flash Cooking System
Jetboil continues to refine it's line up of fast boiling stoves. I'm now able to boil water faster than I can get the coffee beans out of my pack. It's great for early mornings on the trail when you need to get going mentally and physically.
Flash Cook System Features:
◦ 1.0 Liter FluxRing® cooking cup with insulating cozy, featuring Flash color-change heat indicator
◦ Adjustable stainless steel burner with push-button "through-cup" igniter

◦ Tripod base for added stability
Jetboil Flash Cooking System
The Flash Cook System comes with a burner, pot with lid and neoprene cozy, and an orange tripod that clamps onto the fuel canister (purchased separately).
The coffee press is an add-on for this stove, but it's a must have item. The press stem breaks down into two pieces for packability, and this system eliminates the need for a secondary traditional coffee press. The handle and small hole in the lid allow you to drink directly out of the pot.
Coils on Bottom of Pot
Here's the reason the Flash Cooking System can boil water in two minutes. The heat coils on the bottom of the stove transfer heat into the pot. These coils barely add any weight to the cook system.
Flash System Locked Together
Once the Flash Cooking System is linked up, it acts as one unit. I've poured coffee out of the pot while everything was still attached to it. The system is very stable once you find a flat spot to set it up. If I had a difficult time finding a flat area, I'd take off the orange tripod. The fuel canister can hold a full load and be slightly out of plumb.
Flash Heat Indicator
The heat indicator is a life saver. It's hard to tell by looking into the pot if the water is boiling. The heat indictor will turn orange as the water reaches boiling temperature. Keep an eye on it, because it happens faster than you think.
JetBoil Flash Tailgating after Backcountry Ski Tour
With a click of the button the burner is lit and you're on your way to a fresh cup of joe. I had no issues getting the stove lit while temperatures were below freezing. In the picture I'm adjusting the flame size on the burner.
JetBoil Flash Camping in Moab
The Flash Cooking System (including the fuel canister) all fits into the pot for compact storage. With this stove, it's best to just boil water in the pot, then pour the boiling water onto your food. Every time I cook noodles or rice in the stove, they end up burning to the bottom of the stove.
Even in the desert sands of Moab, the cook system was easy to clean and lit on the first push of the button.
JetBoil Flash Steelhead Fishing
When I pulled this stove out while fishing, my friends started to give me a hard time. After a few fresh cups of coffee made in a spring snowstorm, they wanted to know where to get one. The system is so compact, it can replace or compliment your thermos.
