Dual Electronics GPS Cradle for iPod Touch Review
The iPod Touch is basically and iPhone without the phone and GPS capabilities. The Dual Electronics GPS Cradle give the iPod Touch the ability to receive a GPS signal and greatly extends the battery life. Just slide the iPod touch into the cradle, fire up your GPS app and you're ready to go. The GPS cradle is rechargeable and comes with an AC and DC (car) charger. Take a look at some of these apps.

I'm in the middle of Colorado here. I'm using the Accu Terra Maps App I downloaded from the iTunes store. I just hit the locate button and within a few seconds it gives me my position. If you looking to use maps in remote areas it's best to get apps that download the map onto your device because you will not be connected to the internet. The GPS works great, but there's no 3G or wireless in remote areas.
Dual Electronics GPS Cradle on the Road
The GPS Cradle comes with a mount that allows you to mount it to your window. This makes it very easy to operate and doesn't distract from your driving. I also like this mount to operate the music on my iPod. You can plug the car charger directly into this setup to charge while traveling.
Dual Electronics GPS Cradle on the Trail
The small size of the GPS cradle makes it easy to stash in a back pack or a bike shirt pocket. The device can track you while your biking or hiking (depending on the app) and it very useful if you in an unfamiliar area. Instead of buying a dedicated GPS device, this works just like one with all the apps that are available for the iOS operating system.
