The Backcountry.com Inbound Glove is a high performance glove for the slopes and beyond. These gloves worked great for chopping firewood, loading gear into the truck on a cold morning and, of course, while ski touring. When it's below zero, it's nice to have a glove that keeps your fingers toasty and allows you to function without taking the gloves off.

The palms and fingers of the glove are made with Pittards Leather. On it's own the leather is water and perspiration resistant, but it's recommended you treat the glove with the included NIKWAX, waterproofing wax.

Notice the ribs over the knuckle area. These allow for maneuverability and comfort while gripping ski poles.

The inside cuff of the glove is made of ripstop nylon, so it sheds snow and reduces wear on the glove. The outside cuff is made of neoprene and extends about two inches above your wrist.

The palms of the glove are beefed up. The Inbound Gloves would be a great glove for those who make their living outdoors. I felt that just using them to ski in was not enough for the ruggedness of the glove.

PROS: The glove fit very snug and has a number of flex point across the knuckle area, so you can still function with the gloves on. I was able to put on my climbing skins, ski-boots and load up my backpack without taking the gloves off.

CONS: I didn't wear the gloves long enough to see if they would "pack-out". My hand measures 3 3/4 inches across the knuckle and 8 1/2 inches from my middle finger to the center of my wrist bone. The extra-large size was pretty snug on my hand, so I have a feeling with more use, this glove would pack out a bit.
